Yorkin Associates will be showcasing the JigBrix at Highways SIB (Seeing is Believing).
The JigBrix is a Polymer based, mortar less brick system supplied in sections that are easy to handle with an ingenious height adjustment method for adapting to the road camber that provides an effective support system for road iron-works replacing the traditional engineering brick.
Endorsed by Nottingham University in conjunction with Highways England and tested up to 350 KN. The flexibility of the JigBrix was found to assist in smoothing out the transition in the stiffness and stresses that occur between the road and ironwork chambers. It is now incorporated into many local authority specifications.
The JigBrix is made of 100% recyclable material. It is able to resist extreme weather conditions, hot placed road surfacing including oil, salt and chemicals. The simplicity of the installation makes it less labour intensive, reduces road closure times and therefore is more cost effective.
